Some children from KS1 and EYFS carried out an Art morning with a local Swindon artist Hannah Dosanjh. Hannah told us lots of fascinating information about the History of the Swindon railway and the Mechanics Institute. We were shown photos from the past of people at the Juvinall Fete that used to take place in Farringdon Park. We then took a closer look at what people used to wear to the Fete. We drew pictures using the images of people wearing some fabulous hats. These images will help her to create a mural on the large boards surrounding around the Mechanics Institute. These will be displayed on the boards in the near future.
